Pharmaceutical Digitalization: Expanding the contribution of ITB School of Pharmacy Students in Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0
BACKGROUND
The rapid development of information and technology is currently posing a challenge to pharmacy students. The use of big data, such as smart devices or mobile phone applications that can monitor health conditions, is rapidly expanding. The advancement of information technology creates new opportunities in the pharmaceutical services industry. This innovative pharmaceutical service system will broaden the range of services while also improving efficiency and cost effectiveness. Transdisciplinary learning is expected to equip students with the skills needed to contribute to increasing drug independence and supporting equipment in drug production and quality assurance.
OBJECTIVES AND IMPACT
The general objectives of this activity are as follows:
- Create pharmacy graduates capable of contributing to the well-being and health of the Indonesian people.
- Create pharmacy graduates who are qualified, civilized, and professional.
- Create pharmacy graduates capable of competing globally in the face of industry 4.0 or societal 5.0 challenges.
- Create pharmacy graduates with a high sensitivity to societal problems and a willingness to contribute to solutions, particularly those related to the health sector.
- Improving Pharmacy School Graduates's Learning Outcomes and Competencies
The expected impacts of this activity are as follows:
- The public will see firsthand how pharmaceutical science is being used to improve the nation's welfare and health.
- Developing students' soft and hard skills.
- Increase the role of universities and students in finding solutions to Indonesia's health and social problems.
- Create a variety of outputs that can benefit people's well-being, such as health monitoring applications and communicative health information.
