Kimia medisinal dan biokimia fisik : – Sintesis senyawa turunan klorofil sebagai phosensitizer untuk photodynamic therapy. – Sintesis senyawa kationik porfirin dan interaksinya dengan DNA untuk pemodelan kerja anti kanker dan pencarian senyawa anti kanker baru. – Sintesis ligan untuk radiofarmaka.
  2. Bidang keahlian molecular modeling dan radiofarmasi : – Desain dan evaluasi struktur molekul obat dan ligan dengan kimia komputasi. – Interaksi senyawa kationik porfirin dengan DNA – Evaluasi radioaktivitas radiofarmaka.
  3. Farmasi analisis/kimia farmasi: Pengembangan dan validasi metode analisis untuk obat, kosmetika, makanan, dan residu bahan berbahaya dengan menggunakan teknik spektrofotometri uv-visibel, spektrofluorometri, spektroskopi serapan atom/emisi nyala, spektroskopi sinar-X, kromatografi cair kinerja tinggi (HPLC), gas kromatografi (GC), gas kromatografi-spektroskopi masa (GC-MS), analisis termal, dan voltametri (polarografi).
